Overclocking i7 2700k Sandy Bridge

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wanted to see how I could go about OC'ing my i7 2700K.  Best procedure and how far I could go before having to introduce additional cooling.

Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

A list of your hardware is needed, mobo, RAM etc. All boards and chipset have different bios and over clocking tools. Luckily that cpu is renowned for over clocking ability.

Ahh okay.  I will get the info and post up.  This is all new to me so wasn't sure what additional info may have been required.

Cheers.

if you look on you tube there are some good videos on overclocking, there is a step by step on overclocking the i7 2500k which will take you in the right direction,it is quite simple to do if you have the right ram, power supply etc, from memory I altered 3 maybe 4 settings in the Bios to reach 4.5 ,sorry i do not have the link, just read and take it slowly you should be fine
