July 18, 200520 yr I have the DF Beech A36 and wonder what extra's the Reality XP Sandel SN3308 offers me over the included Eaglesoft version. Is it worth the extra money...?I also wonder if the Reality XP GNS530 is worth the extra money since the A36 already has the 430. Is the bigger screen the only difference?
July 18, 200520 yr HiRegarding the SN3308:Download the Eaglesoft manual and the real SN3308 manual for the RealityXP version and you will quickly notice the differences:Eglesoft manual:http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/documentation.htmReal/RealityXP SN3308 manual:http://www.sandel.com/ehsi_support_documen..._pilotguide.htmAlso the SN3308 that comes with the A36 is bound to the A36 panel only.Regarding the GNS530:Yes, the 530 has a bigger screen but you also can include it in any other panel. The GNS430 which comes with the A36 however is bound to the A36 only. July 18, 200520 yr Thanks for the info!Well, since I do not plan to fly or buy another plan than the DF Beech A36, I don't think buying these two programs is worth it... - The 530 'only' has bigger screen and 30 bucks is a way too much for that.- The Sandel EHSI is indeed very realistic but I can't say it has a lot more functions (which I would use). Since the the 430 has a moving map already and the A36 also has the Weather Radar, there's not much reason to spend 20 bucks on it (other than the fact that it's nice to have a very realistic gauge: nice, but not more).Well, that quickly saved me 50 bucks! :)
July 18, 200520 yr I was debating this issue also and came to the same conclusion. I could not believe that both stand alone 3308's are being sold for the same price even though the xp one seems the better deal with the extra features. Maybee in the spirit of competition a free update will upgrade the 3308 in the A36 to make it fully functional like xp's. That would be good.Matt
July 18, 200520 yr Hi,The RXP Sandel doesn't have a weather radar, but a storm scope. Both are fundamentally different. But as you already said: You are the only one who can make the judgement if it is worth the investment: It's your money ;) Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro

Eaglesoft Development Group has not been asked, nor has any agreement been made to upgrade the Eaglesoft/Dreamfleet version of the SN3308.2. The Eaglesoft Development Group Standalone SN3308 will be upgraded for curent owners at some future point.
