June 30, 201510 yr Author Thanks. I'm still on the fence if I should replace my current 1st gen Titan with a 980Ti. First I thought I would stay with my current setup until I will eventually replace my complete rig but now I'm thinking maybe a fast 980Ti could give my current system some extra time with Win 10 and DX12 around the corner.
June 30, 201510 yr I just got 2x 980s few months ago - they are perfect for now (and I have 4K monitors). I will probably upgrade to three way sli with these and will probably get the generation which comes after 980TIs.
