July 19, 200520 yr Hello,I know pretty surely that it's not only me experiencing this thing, but also two friends are having the same problem in their computers which means it must be some more popular one.So, about the issue. When running flight simulator in Full Screen mode and when I want to open the ALT key upper menu during flying, when I want to return to FS from minimized state or when I accidentally touch the mouse's right button which results in the window menu, then with every move I described comes at least 5 second delay during which you can't do anything. Just the sand-timer appears, you wait 5 seconds and then can continue again. It's especially bad when I fly the Level-D 767, because I have the delay also when I open the Ground Call popup box and another delay when I select a call from there...I'm sure there must be some solution to this and I would REALLY like to hear it. Please, give me some advice :) If you don't exactly understand what I mean then I can film the screen and post the clip.
July 19, 200520 yr I had the same thing. When I did a reinstall (because of another issue) it went away. It's gradually getting slower again so maybe it's related to the number of addons you have.billg

July 19, 200520 yr I had a similar problem with my system when I updated the Graphics c ard and drivers - using either TI4400 or a GE Force 6800 card, I had similar issues when I updated to the 70 series drivers. When I reverted back to 60 series drivers, the problem was minimised, with 50 series [53.03] on the TI 4400, the problem disappears. In fact, I tried to run my 6800 with the 53.03 drivers but the card will not accept them and refuses to load. Also look at your AA setting - again using the 60 series drivers, some AA settings have caused problems when selecting Alt in full screen mode [the selection of Alt switches AA off - it then switches back on when reverting to the full screen]. My best setting is full AA set on the card rather than via FS9.Hope the above is of assistance.
July 19, 200520 yr Yeah, thanks guys for the help... I thought there might be some more straight fix for this as it's with so many people and Microsoft is the one who should fix it, in fact.
