July 3, 201510 yr Hey folks, what keeps me a bit away from P3D is the point that always I fly the distance looks so flat even I have the LOD setting set to ULTRA. That looks very strange and unreal and my FSX looks a bit better. Maybe a problem is that you can't edit the distance within FSGRW where the "distance" is blocked and filled with a kind of fog. That looks kinda good for me. Also a point is the flickering of some textures. I tried it with Nvidia inspector and without. Always other planes are flickering in the distance. And the docking systems at the gate also always flickering. Looks very strange :/ Is that a gernal LM problem or more a setting/video card problem? July 3, 201510 yr For the flickering textures, its probably an issue called "z-fighting"! If you do a search on the P3D forum there is a thread that explains it all in detail but basically the cure is to add the following line "ClipMode=Normal" within the camera.cfg located where your P3D.cfg is:- [CameraDefinition.002]Title = Virtual CockpitGuid = {C95EAB58-9E4A-4E2A-A34C-D8D9D948F078}Description = This is the description of the virtual cockpit view.Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = YesSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.7SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0HotKeySelect=1ClipMode=Normal Nigel
