Getting downloaded 'skins' into FSX

Featured Replies

To start off, I'm rather computer-challenged.  I've downloaded 'skins' from Southwest and Delta.  They appear in my FSX folder but I don't know how to get them where they need to be so I can add them to my stale FSX airline collection.  Can anyone help?

I've also tried to download a GPWS to add on to my FSX but have not had any luck.

Thanks in advance.

I moved your topic from the Tips and Tricks forum as you might get better support here (plus we do not allow new posts in the Tips and Tricks Forum).  Most repaints (skins) come with readme files with detailed instructions on how to install them into an aircraft.  Some repaints for installation into commercial products like PMDG, Captain Sim, etc., come with their own installation programs.  But from your comments about having a "stale FSX collection", I assume you mean to the default aircraft.  Here's a link to one tutorial I found on the Internet that has pictures and stuff so this might help you - http://www.fstipsandaddons.com/tutorials/installing-repaints-textures-fsx.html.

Hope this helps.
