July 20, 200520 yr Please tell us - those that have got it - how is this scenery? Is it worth it?How are the frame rates? Is the airport detailed?thanks
July 20, 200520 yr Changi looks stunning. I am tempted. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
July 20, 200520 yr I agree. However, it may require a real hungry processor for fps. July 20, 200520 yr The scenery does look great but it's worth looking at two of Samsoft's forum threads: the first is in relation to most users having unsolved CTDs:http://samsoft.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=22& the second relates to misplaced ILSs/af_2*bgl file that needs editing:http://samsoft.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=24Cheers :)Josh
July 21, 200520 yr I've never seen any Singapore scenery on FS9 that hasn't killed my FPS. There's something about Singapore and FS! Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
July 21, 200520 yr MaxYou should get good FPS with your rig. I found that the freeware WSSS/SIN scenery addons (found here in the library) were fine on FPS even though I still have the below rig now.I recall Samsoft's Singapore Forever scenery for FS2002 was a FPS killer despite being a very nice scenery. I don't think it was designed using gMax - I was getting 4-7 FPS on my Athlon 1.6GHz+, 512MBDDR + GeForce3Ti200, which at the time was a respectable rig.Hopefully the new scenery will run much more efficiently. I'll be buying the upgrade for sure once they get the above teething problems sorted.Cheers :)Josh
July 22, 200520 yr Well - I really want to buy the Singapore scenery...have the crashes stopped for all?I know that the ILS issue has been resolved.
July 22, 200520 yr No, but they have isolated a few problematic .bgl files so hopefully any problems can be pinpointed.Josh
