Best Set-up Philosophy- FSX

Featured Replies

I've searched,, and basically confused myself.  If this is not in the right area, apologies, and please move it if you wil,

I'd like to re-do my FSX (ms) setup.  I have a really good system, and have win 7.1 on an ssd drive (580 gb)

I have 1 other drives, 2 TB.

If you were me, how would you do it?

I already have fsx  on d: and have tried to put most of the extra stuff on a 2nd partition on the 2nd drive (E:)

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Also, if you don't mind,, could you mention your 1 or 2 MUST-HAVES for fsx?

Thank you very much for your time and trouble.

frank

Since the SSD is of a good size I'd put both the OS and FSX on the SSD and use the 2TB HDD for a backup drive. You won't get a performance gain but the initial loading times will be faster. No need for the second partition (E) but no harm either.

My two must haves would be FTX Global Base and FTX Global Vector. More information at:   https://www.fullterrain.com/   .
