Anyone got the GoFlight 1.5 or 1.51 installer file knocking about?

Thanks Dave. As my last post on this subject, let me just say that I am STILL an avid GoFlight user. Additionally, with respect to Doyle, I admire entrepreneurship more than anyone on this forum will ever know. Personally, I would not be nearly as enthusiastic about this hobby if I was confined to mouse clicks and keyboard presses. Too much time in real aircraft I guess.Since I have scores of posts on this forum in praise of MANY products and companies including FoFlight, Dreamfleet, Flight1, RealAir, Aeroworx, Carenado and MANY others, I just reserve the right (privilege actually, thanks to the great people at Avsim) to express opinions that are not necessarily complimentary, when the circumstances seen to warrant such comments.Regards,Jim

This is a late response to Jim... I haven't been monitoring this thread. A few points - - I have met Doyle, at a couple Avsim conferences. I don't know him well enough to call him a close friend.- I didn't say that Go-Flight was Doyle's hobby. It's a business to be sure, but it's a niche market and he has to supplant whatever comes in the GF door with other work (and note that GF is not just him, but he is the most prominent person in the forums and such).- I have the Precision Flight Controls avionics stack, to complement my GF stuff. The PFC hardware is outstanding, and it's frankly my favorite piece of FS hardware, but note that the drive isn't written by them - never has been to my knowledge. Pete Dowson has been providing it for free for years, and really it's his driver that makes that collection of knobs and buttons and LED displays work so well. - I also own several items made Flight-Link; currently, their complete helicopter controls . I used to have their avionics stack; the software driver for that was quite marginal, albeit mostly functional most of the time. So anyway I think I "have the facts" w.r.t. the other flight sim companies out there (US-based, anyway). - I'll certainly agree that it seems the 1.53 stuff *was* released without being "fully baked" as I call it in my line of work (software technical marketing). Nope, I can't recall of another single instance where a company released a piece of software (let alone flight simulator payware add-ons!) that was released before it should've been... Yes my tongue is firmly in cheek but the main jist of my original post is that some people get bent waaaay out of shape (IMO) over this stuff. I am the biggest flight sim nut that I know, but when my flaps handle doesn't work on my LGT panel, I just reach way up there and press the function keys, confident that GF will get that sorted out in due time. I could've gone back to 1.51 (yes I have a backup) but I'll just wait for 1.54 or whatever.I guess I really punched your button and I didn't mean to offend you. If so, my apologies, but I occasionally can't help but try to provide some balanced counterpoint in the flight sim forums - for better or worse 8^) .Dave BlevinsP.S. to the folks across the pond that have to pay higher-than-desired prices for GF hardware - be assured that this works both ways. The exchange rate has make the http://www.simkits.com stuff (from the Netherlands) extremely expensive, at least as compared to when they first came out and were basing their prices on USD rather than the Euro.
