CPU or GPU or Monitor

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy either the gtx960 4gb, or a new processor, or a 27" full hd monitor, but I don't kniw which to buy because of my specs, could someone help me choose what to get?

My specs are:

8gb Ram

Core i7-2600 (3.3 gHz)

Asus gtx 550ti 1gb

I could run everything fine on ultra high, but when I go to a payware airport like san francisco, I get around 10-15 fps, but when I'm on the default airports running on payware aircrafts with the followind add-ons, it runs okay.

Add-ons:

Orbx global

Orbx vector

Orbx trees

Rex essentials plus overdrive

I want to know which of my components is affecting that so I may make a change, and which components you could recommend me.

By the way my cpu is a NON-K, so I can't over clock it.

Thanks guys!

Q1) What model of M/B do you have?

Q2) What CPU cooler do you have?

Probably the CPU upgrade will make the most difference and you really want to be overclocking the CPU for a justifiable performance gain; that might mean a new CPU cooler. It appears that the fastest LGA1155 CPU upgrade for you is: Sandy Bridge i7-2600 to Ivy bridge i7-3770K (which is about the same cost as an i7-4790K).

But Haswell is LGA1150 so he'd need a new M/B.
