Flickering object shadows

Hi,

 

I am running P3Dv2.5 + latest hotfix on a GTX980Ti (nVidia 353.62 driver), scenery ORBX Global, + Vector, + Alaska+Canada LC and would like to know if anybody has experienced flickering object shadows when flying above

buildings and trees ? My video card is doing a perfect job, but flickering shadows are terrible.

 

I believe, it may be anyhow driver related, but are clueless, what to do against.

Have you set shadow map count to maximum? This cures shadow flickering to a degreee - at the expense of a framerate hit. I usually have it at high as a tradeoff. 

 

According to my experience it's not driver related.

Hi Michael,

thank you very much for your advice. Setting shadow quality to max cures indeed the problem to a certain degree, but unfortunately not completely. Anyway, it is better than before. I need to watch the affect on fps.
