August 30, 201510 yr Hi, I am running P3Dv2.5 + latest hotfix on a GTX980Ti (nVidia 353.62 driver), scenery ORBX Global, + Vector, + Alaska+Canada LC and would like to know if anybody has experienced flickering object shadows when flying above buildings and trees ? My video card is doing a perfect job, but flickering shadows are terrible. I believe, it may be anyhow driver related, but are clueless, what to do against. Thank you Bruno
August 30, 201510 yr Have you set shadow map count to maximum? This cures shadow flickering to a degreee - at the expense of a framerate hit. I usually have it at high as a tradeoff. According to my experience it's not driver related. August 30, 201510 yr Author Hi Michael, thank you very much for your advice. Setting shadow quality to max cures indeed the problem to a certain degree, but unfortunately not completely. Anyway, it is better than before. I need to watch the affect on fps. Thank you again. Bruno
