I Upgraded from windows 8 to windows 8.1 a year ago and have since then been unable to fly my PMDG 747-400X and MD-11X. Have written on her without any success in solving the problem.

 

FSX stars fine only that I have to start it as administrator and then I get two error messages regarding PMDG DLL files. Every other add-on aircraft in FSX worked just fine but the PMDG 747 and MD-11, and the problem with these products only show up when choosing one of them, when choosing the 747 I get these three messages:

 

-PMDG_747400_Main.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

 

OK

 

-PMDG_747400_ACS.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

 

OK

 

-PMDG_747400_Overhead.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

 

OK

 

and then FSX crashes, or when choosing the MD-11 fsx crashes immediately.

 

Can any one come with any help and support on this problem? Really miss flying the 747 and MD-11.

Have thought about upgrading from Windows 8,1 to new Windows 10 but don't know if this might help/solve the problem or just ruin even more/not fix anything.

Make sure your dll.xml is not corrupted - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a92/dll_xml-information-and-troubleshooting.aspx

 

If you did not install the product as an Administrator or with UAC turned off, these entries in your dll.xml may not be made.

 

If you have further problems you need to go to the PMDG website and submit a trouble ticket.  Do not go to the forums as your question may not be answered.  PMDG (as well as most developers) has gone to the trouble-ticket system to avoid providing support to those who pirated their software so going to their website is the best solution.
