P3D- Cannot edit AI Labels in .cfg

Featured Replies

I've discovered a small problem in P3D regarding the AI traffic labels. In FSX, I was able to make the labels show the airline, flight number, and flightplan, even though these were not selectable in the UI, by editing this area in the FSX.CFG

[AContain]
LabelColor=FFFF0000
LabelDelay=1000
ShowLabelAirline=0
ShowLabelAirlineAndFlightNumber=0
ShowLabelAirspeed=0
ShowLabelAltitude=1
ShowLabelContainerId=0
ShowLabelDistance=0
ShowLabelFlightPlan=0
ShowLabelHeading=0
ShowLabelManufacturer=0
ShowLabelModel=1
ShowLabels=0
ShowLabelTailNumber=1
ShowUserLabel=0

However, in P3D, it seems that the labels only show what is selectable in the UI, regardless of what I put in the p3d.cfg file. For example, if I turn on airline, flight plan, model, and tail number, the labels only show the aircraft's model and tail number, as these are the only options out of the 4 available in the UI. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? (By the way, the section I posted above was just an example- when I try making the changes I turn the labels to 'on').

Bump??

I'm having the same issues...

That's a long standing bug in P3d. Those label options will persist but only if one doesn't change any setting from within the P3d UI.

What's even more strange is that the Traffic Toolbox app in the P3d SDK allows those labels to be checked and unchecked.

Contact LM via their official message board and remind them again about this issue.
