fsx ui.automation crash EVEN after replacing 3 times.....

Featured Replies

DON'T tell me that it is a diffrent thing crashing since I have used the event viewer before and I saw it failing in there. I thought I fixed it when I used the win10 OS one in system32 but now that one is crashing too. Sometimes it isn't even the menu like my latest crash was when the jetway touched the plane and I checked it and it was the uiautomationcore.dll. Anyone know were I can get the xp one since I have not tried that one and it seems to be my only hope.....

Thanks.

If you're going to use uiautomation, you'll want the Vista Version.

Take a look at the AVSIM FSX/P3D Setup Guide (located on the top right of most AVSIM webpages, and you'll find a link to the Vista version of the file. The setup guide will also explain where to place it, where not to, and where to check to ensure the file is not in the wrong place.

Hope this is helpful to you.

It is not letting me download for some reason through

EDIT: wait I was looking at the wrong thing

Pete,

My apologies on two fronts.

1. What you want is the AVSIM CTD Guide.  I knew which one I meant, but had typed the wrong one.

2. With some recent changes to AVSIM, the links to the guides may not have been updated yet.  I've placed the file (it's a PDF file) in my Dropbox so you can download it.  The download link is:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39644013/AVSIM_CTD_Guide_V2.pdf

Please read the entire section on UIAUTOMATIONCORE, it's very enlightening and will help you now and in the future.  Again, it's very important to be well versed in this area, so I wouldn't skip a word of the section on UIAUTOMATIONCORE.

Please, let us know how you made out?

Best wishes.

Dave Hodges

Oh okay thanks

Great it crashed again even after doing all what the pdf said.

Well, since you said not to tell you about an alternative, I'm afraid I'm all out of suggestions. At least we got you to the correct version UIAUTOMATIONCORE (Vista) and perhaps a better understanding of what that dll does.

If you find the solution, would you mind coming back and posting it here?  That way others can benefit from your experience.

All the best my friend!
