September 13, 201510 yr Hi, I’m new to this forum. I’m not a native English speaker, but I could need some help with my FSX setup on Windows 10 I flew FSX for some time on Windows 7 with no problems. Now I moved to new machine with Windows 10, and that’s where the problem starts. In general, I’m using two screens with a native resolution of 1920x1200 and 1280x1024. I would like to start on the larger screen and move some other windows to the smaller one. In FSX I configured the resolution to 1920x1200x32. My fsx.cfg contains the following two lines: [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.0.0] Mode=1920x1200x32 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.0.1] Mode=1280x1024x32 But, when I start free flight for example, the main monitor comes up with a much lower resolution. I tried several times, but I can’t get my main screen running at 1920x1200. I have both FSX service packs installed and use Direct X 9.0c. The curious thing is, when I press ALT + Enter to enter windowed modus, the resolution is fine. Graphics looks brilliant. But that’s only a workaround, as I can’t use other windows (outside view for example in parallel). My machine is an I4790 with Nvidia GTX970. Both screens are connected via DVI. I would really appreciate some help to get this problem fixed.
September 14, 201510 yr Author Sure, my displays are in Extend Mode. I need that mode for my office application anyway.
September 17, 201510 yr Make sure you set the resolutions in Windows as well as Nvdia Control Panel. Probably best to delete your FSX.cfg and let it rebuild itself after a reboot as well. It could be a connectors problem as well. If you get a chance try a HDMI or display port with the problem monitor.
