Mods, please do not remove. I think this is an important discussion that we need to have.I don't post here very often. But I read Avsim every day. David Eckert at http://www.daviator.com/ has been boycotting Avsim for some time now, and I find that disturbing and he blames it on the users here. He publicly rakes Avsim over the coals while providing a link to fsplanet.com. I don't get that at all. I think the issue started with this thread: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchAnd as far as I can tell, Avsim did nothing wrong. He says in his boycott that it is the users of Avsim that made him demand removal of his files at Avsim, but it appears that the same messages were posted at other sites and his files there were allowed to remain. He also tries to connect his boycott of Avsim to the departure of other authors, and that appears to be BS too. He then encourages readers to write to the honchos at Avsim to complain. From what I can see, he is the one that should be on the receiving end of OUR email. If you feel the way I do, you can write the prima donna here: [email protected] may be the greatest freeware author ever to walk the face of the planet, but in my books, he's a hypocrit.Jerry

I couldn't agree with you more (except for the greatest freeware author to ever walk the planet deal :-) ) Oh wait, I'm an AVSIM user, so my opinion is null. What is your motivation, if any, for posting this? It sounds like a witch hunt to me. Who cares what one person thinks about this site? It's irrelevant and meaningless. People have come and go, including other authors, so what? This thread should be locked or removed.
