Santorini LGSR update 1.10 + Mombasa (FS2004)

Recommended Posts

Hi friends !

I want to tell you that, as promised, the update for our FS9 Santorini LGSR scenery has been released yesterday.

The first part consists of a "free texture update" (over 50 re-edited textures with better quality and updated 2015 status for ground service vehicles, airport buildings, apron and other small improvements).

The second part (only for premium members who have made or will made in the future a donation to our project) includes new features such as 3D PAPI lights, 3D taxiway edge lights, volumetric grass, new vehicles, the animated Thira cablecar, nice greek objects and small details.

All informations about the free update download can be found on www.albysimsd.hostoi.com/FS9-FS2004-santorini-LGSR-scenery-update.htm . Of course the zip file can be found on the AVSIM Library directly here: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=192038

A “new features” video is available too on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DZLq4kmGxE

We also want to tell you that our Mombasa HKMO scenery is again in development and will be released during the Autumn/Winter 2015.

"Work in progress" screenshots can be seen under http://www.albysimsd.hostoi.com/FS9-FS2004-mombasa-HKMO-scenery-screenshots.htm.

Thank you and happy landings on Santorini ! Have a nice week-end

I just want to say thanks for the fine Santorini scenery including a very convenient user support regarding upgrading to the full version and receiving the v 1.1 update.

I'm looking forward to the Mombasa scenery, as African sceneries are quite rare, so Mombasa should be an important enrichment for our FS9 world.

Regards,

Harald

Alby, you're very welcome.

We hope that you'll continue to develop for FS9.

By the way, would you tell us what are your next projects after Mombasa? Or could we even ask for a certain scenery?

With pleasure: I personally would like to see UGMS Mestia, UGKO Kutaisi and/or UGSB Batumi airports in Georgia (Mestia being the most interesting) and Khorog airport in Tajikistan. (The latter may be a little difficult to model due to limited access...)

After the release of the AES service for our Santorini scenery, we notice that the apron vehicles placed in our scenery don’t fit well with the AES animations and with the AES vehicles textures.

Therefore we develop now:

  1. a scenery patch which move the vehicles placed on the apron far away from the AES animation areas
  2. an AES texture set with a color scheme which perfectly match with the veichles already placed in the Albysim Santorini scenery (with this new textures it seems that the AES vehicles make really part of our scenery)

You can expect the relase of both zip files during this week-end

Another thing: with the new 2.40 AES version, the Premium User version of Santorini is not recognized by the system. The problem should be fixed very soon by Oliver (the developer of AES) but in the meantime (btw: thank you Harald and Nicolas for the help !) you can download the patch from the Aerosoft site directly from here: http://forum.aerosoft.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=70662

Installation instructions can be found here, in the first post:

http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/100035-aes-240-is-available-now/

Stay tuned for more news in the next days.

Hello friends
As promised, we have completed the AES patch. We have repaint the entire AES fleet with new colors.
Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to come in contact directly Oliver Pabst (developer of AES). We have sent him the “AES patch” for a test and to see if he can introduce buses too (currently they are not available in AES Santorini). We have sent to Oliver all files for the final test and once we have his "ok" we’ll release the patch.
