P3D v3 ...Tonemap exposure entry in .cfg

Featured Replies

Hi - I was wondering what the 2 Tonemap_Exposure settings in the main .cfg accomplish in P3D v3?  It has a day and night setting but I'm not sure what this setting effects....does anyone know??

Thanks!

These settings allow you to adjust the brightness for day and night individually. If you feel that nights are too bright, but you don't want to change the brightness of the day at the same time, you can reduce the value of the night tonemap exposure setting. It is actually quite useful, because with FSX, I always felt that nights were too bright. You could make them darker by reducing the brightness directly on your monitor or via the NVidia driver software, but that would also darken days. The tonemap settings eliminate this problem.
