Orbx FTX Global Vector issue (P3D v3)

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Having a strange issue with the configuration tool.

In the Airport Elevation Corrections tab the simulator drop-down box is grey out and wont select anything.

If I try and run the Auto-Configuration I get an error message saying Please select a simulator from the drop-down first!

I have also tried running the config tool as admin to no success.

Any ideas?

When FTX Central starts up, do you get a choice to select various sims (FSX, P3d V2, P3d V3, etc.)? Is the region set to Global? Try setting it again.

What other sims are either installed or have orphaned registry entries (meaning that they were uninstalled but the entry still exists in the Window's registry)?

A few other people have posted about this issue on the official ORBX forum, so you might be better posting over there about this.

Hello

I had the same problem, what worked for me was I re-installed FTX Global Base Pack, then I installed FTX Global Vector. I guess its because Global Base is still a V2 and you are trying to install Vector as V3. In any case, it was all good. I hope this help.

If you have the Regions activated, you won't be able to use AEC. Make sure you have applied the Global region.

Thank you David, all appears to be working correctly now.

I had to do a little edit in the FTX Central setting .xml to point it correctly towards the P3D Scenery.cfg file.
