August 27, 200520 yr hello everyone,I'm trying to figure out my settings to get optimized performance from MSFS2004. I know iit is a combination of settings that can improve performance, but if you had to chose one setting to lower in order to increase performance what would it be?P.S Im sorry if this is not in the right forum, I wasnt sure if it should go in the hardware forum or not. Thanks again Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
August 27, 200520 yr Do you have add-on AI? The default stuff is very hard on the cpu. Also, play with your cloud settings.Good luck,Adam
August 27, 200520 yr Author No I dont have add-on AI. Do you mean that the default AI is hard on the cpu? How do I replace my Default AI with add-on AI(hopefully freeware AI)Thanks again Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
August 27, 200520 yr First point of call ought to be www.ai-aardvark.com for aircraft and www.mostrealisticai.com for installer & flightplans
August 27, 200520 yr Oh and sorry, you can get low frame rate clouds which will help your frame rates a bit from fswp15.zip in the library here
August 27, 200520 yr If you go to the file library and search for David Marshall you will find a lot of files there which describe how to get the most out of MSFS. A good place to start I would think.Andrew Brownhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
August 27, 200520 yr Author Thanks everyone for the help, I seemes to figure out something that works resonably well, I had to mess around with the weather. Although I have no AI traffic as Im scared to screw it up and get low frames again.
