September 4, 200520 yr If you fly in the VC then I'd go with the RealAir SF-260. The Dreamfleet A36 is also a winner.EG
September 4, 200520 yr My 2 cents echo others: The Flight1 172 (realistic), The Dreamworks A36 (superb with lots of bells and whistles), and the FDS Commander 115TC (top shelf, a treat). For a twin, hands down: Aeroworx B200. I also have the FDS Cheyenne 400 twin, which I do like, but the B200 is better IMHO. If you go with the 172, there is a module from FS Crew that you can add-on that adds ambient chatter, ground ops, and audio checklists. The ambient chatter grows old fast but the checklists and other features are nice.Consider support too: most (but not all) of the FDS support folks make you feel like an idiot when you ask questions in their forum (especially when they ARE dumb questions!) or brush you off if they can't replicate your problems readily. The B200 support forum is fabulous and includes several real world B200 pilots who share their experiences, real world flight plans and photos, and patiently answer questions. I haven't had any real difficulties, but I've seen them knock themselves out to figure out someone's difficulty. Haven't spent much time with Flight1 or Dreamworks support, both are really glitch free. But the Aeroworks forums is unusual from the others in that it is fun visit sometimes even if your don't have anything that needs solving.
