November 20, 201510 yr Good evening, I am using the demo, latest version of OpusFSI and it is fantastic but I am not able to see any weather updates during the flight so I don't know if the demo only updates once. Question is what does the weather looks like when the software updates weather in the simulator? I know p3d control the cloud position but does the cloud slowly appears and the old clouds slowly disappear or does it change everything in a eye blink? I am wondering if it works like ASN, ASN does pretty good job with the clouds. I am using prepar3d v3. Thanks, Brian Brian Pogorek
November 20, 201510 yr Commercial Member The cloud layers are preserved by the Cloud Smoothing option so the changes are minimised in that respect. OpusFSI is a non invasive 'external' program that uses nothing but standard SimConnect and PDK methods to inject weather (with our pioneered use of Dynamic Weather Themes) and control camera eye points. The OpusFSI Live Weather Engine (LWE) provides the most accurate and realistic weather depiction within the sim so is ideal for VFR flying or flying down and dirty in the weather. You need the very latest beta version 4.62.12 for full P3Dv3 compatibility. This beta will most likely become a release version this weekend. Stephen :-)
November 20, 201510 yr Author Thanks Stephen! I might buy the license this weekend. Yes I do have to agree with you the weather looks so real in the simulator compare to real life. Sometimes I forget I'm only in the simulator, not in real flying. Thanks! Brian Brian Pogorek
