How many times can you switch between VFR and IFR?

 

For example, departing LFLU to LFLG in a C172, LFLG is in the middle of horseshoe shaped mountains.  MSA on eastern side is around 10,500 and higher.  But you can enter through the openside of the horseshoe to get into LFLG from skyvector.com.

 

I guess the main problem is that I have PPFX and it does not seem to be aware of the mountains.  It looks like PlanG might help with MSAs.
