December 1, 201510 yr The Mighty Dash takes on the formidable KAJO-KVCV ODP, hold and full VOR/DME approach to Runway 17. In other words, PilotEdge's notorious I-11 exam--minus ATC, in this case. Includes DME arc goodness and tutorial on flying holds. This really should be done in a smaller, slower airplane. But The Mighty D can do it all! Best, Marshall https://youtu.be/JjF3j-eAYG0
December 1, 201510 yr hi marshall, i just love you flying skills... question for you. on the klax to kpsp flying the rnav for 31L the route should be "laxx7 trm " , are we suppose to head to TRM vor or can we actually heading to badly and then starting our left turn toward 31L? i checked the route airliners are taking on flight aware and it looks like this would the right procedure. thx and keep it up. henry
December 2, 201510 yr Author Henry, I flew the full procedure. Chances are, in the real world, you'd be getting vectored by ATC, so it's not unreasonable to expect an actual route would vary considerably, depending on weather, traffic, etc. Best, Marshall
