OZ - the biggest development in instrument flight ?

Recommended Posts

Imagine flying IFR and having to worry about your typical instrument scan - altitude, airpseed, etc. And to having to memorize aircraft preformance numbers like typical approach speed, stall speed, etc ? No more "tyranny of numbers".Well this OZ stuff invented by two PhDs from Florida with deep knowledge of neuro-psychology and human sensory vision promises all the above. It is currently being tested by NASA and the Navy. Some test pilot claim it could be the biggest revolution since Mr. Sperry invented artificial horizon 80 years ago.http://www.ihmc.us/research/projects/OZ_UC...edComputing.pdfMichael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg
