Spintyres - is anyone a fan?

Featured Replies

I've been looking at Spintyres for some time now on Youtube and it looks like loads of fun.  Anyone else here a fan?

I play it quite often. It's a lot of fun yet challenging at the same time; in part due to the physics based engine it uses. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros: Physics based, immersive, enjoyable, multiplayer, wheel support, graphics, highly optimized.

Cons: Not a lot of vehicles or maps, multiplayer could be better, boring if playing solo, lack of in-vehicle view.

The project is heading in the right direction though; as long as they add more vehicles, maps and perhaps a more interesting goal to finish off a map. As you may have seen, currently, you uncloak the map, find the right truck, then go back and forth between the yard and objective - not much else to it.

Have they said when in-cab view will be available.

Last I checked, they were looking into implementing it but were having trouble. They did, however, add a top of the cab view which I suppose is alright for now but restricts view only to the front making it difficult to keep track of where you're steering in difficult corners (which is pretty much every turn you make; haha).

Overall, it's a beautiful game with probably the best terrain deformation I've seen in a simulation. If you find it on sale, I would definitely recommend picking it up just for the refreshing experience it offers compared to the usual AAA titles.
