Entry required in EXE.XML

Recommended Posts

Guest

With my Win10 OS, for some reason this entry was not added to EXE.XML (check both locations)

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>VFXCentral</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>D:/OldProp Solutions Inc/VFXCentral/VFXCentral.exe</Path>
    <CommandLine>P3Dv3</CommandLine>
  </Launch.Addon>

I'm assuming this "SHOULD" be in my EXE.XML (for P3D V3.1)?

Cheers, Rob.

Not sure what you mean by "The option", all but one options are enabled in VFXCentral.  But my real question is should that entry exist in my EXE.XML?

I believe some other 3rd party product may have wiped out or restored a "blank" EXE.XML when I uninstall the product.  I keep my own backups fortunately ... but wanted to just clarify that this entry is required in EXE.XML?

Cheers, Rob.

VFXCentral will only be present if the "Auto-Launch" feature is enabled in the VFXCentral Preferences.

All other modules are loaded through aircraft gauges.

I actually had a similar question on the VFXCentral.exe... I have it in my exe.xml because its set to auto launch when p3d launches.. is it absolutely necessary, or is the main reason to have it launch to just inform of updates (for PrecipFX)?
