Nav Data in Europe Question

Featured Replies

Hello,I fly my sims in the USA (from KCHS). Recently I have been trying some European flying to broaden my experience. For the first time I noticed that I do not have nav information in a number of my addons for the European locations. I started at EHAM since I have the new scenery for that airport. I tried my new Cirrus (Eaglesoft) and the map had no information. I loaded my PMDG Express cargo that has a Reality XP Garmin 430 installed. While the map works, there are no flyto points in the system for the "Direct-to" function. I tried to enter Heathrow and got no response. Are there different versions of these products for the European market?BTW - I tried the Reality XP Apollo that is in my Cessna 172 and it worked fine! Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS

The Reality-XP Garmins need to have the database changed to International when flying abroad. You can do so in the GNS Config or on the fly in the Garmin by right-clicking on the data card under the CDI button.

In addition, if you prefer flying with the latest AIRAC with the Reality XP GNS 430XP/530XP, and don't need to keep the actual database sync with FS2004 database (the Trainer installer recommended by Reality XP has a database matching the FS2004 database - both 2002), then you may consider downloading and install the SEP05 AIRAC for the GNS!More information near the end of this thread:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...?TID=12823&PN=1Hope this helps!

Thank you for the help - off I go to EAHM!Ron Sagel
