Connected flight planning in P3D

Recommended Posts

Goal:  Use my microsoft surface as a moving map/flight planner during flight in P3D.  Cost should be minimal or zero.

Attempts thus far:  Tried both magicdesk and splashtop to drag my GTN750 across to the surface.  Both are too jittery and unstable to use reliably.

Known options:  Fltpln Go has an option to connect their android app ( I use a note 5) to fsx, which may be able to be converted or modified to use with P3D.  Have pfpx and Plan G, unaware of how to connect to P3D wirelessly.

I'm hoping the great community here can help me with solutions.  I'd love to be able to use my surface for viewing plates, watching the moving map, looking up freqs during flight, etc.  Right now I use my second monitor which I drag my GTN over to and usually have skyvector up with my flight plan so I can quickly open SIDS/STARS/Plates.  My note 5 would be a little small but I'm open to using it but would prefer to use my surface.  My options have hefty sub fees which I'd like to avoid if possible.  I do have pfpx and plan G if those would be able to be part of a solution.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one??  I'd be forever in your debt!!

Thanks!!
