I just saw a video about the Headgear and am wondering if it has any promise for FSX. I know very little about it. Is it the same as Tracker IR ? Does it do more ?

If you mean the VFX1 Headgear VR headset, as far as I can see it's now discontinued. The resolution was very low anyway. What looks much more interesting is the ImmersiON VRelia Blue-Sky PRO (http://immersionvrelia.com/bluesky/) which has true HD resolution, 1920x1080, for each eye - much higher than the release version of the Oculus Rift.
