Landclass textures show between taxiways

Featured Replies

Hi there,I can't remember, I think there is something in the terrain.cfg that can be changed to show the landclass textures as the airport backgroudn rather than grass. I think some addon may have modified that without me knowing. I would like to restore the grass. I have some strange suburban roads showing through in between the taxiways at some airports. Help please. Thanks.Misha

Bump. Help please!

The default airport background polys have texture numbers in the range 1182-1200. These numbers are used with terrain.cfg:[Texture.1183] // GrassType=1Size=4ExcludeAutogen=1MaskClassMap=2I don't know how the specific texture file is obtained, though (but I think it follows seasonal variations). So yes, you can check your terrain.cfg. But, it is also possible that an addon sceenry excluded scenery at layer 7 in your airport area, which would exclude the airport background. What I have done in my case where this happened is simply create my own custom airport background poly using a tool like ground2k4 or sbuilder.scott s..

OK. I think before the FS9 patch came out there was some talk about airport polygons causing CTDs and some people therefore disabled the grass background claiming that it solved the CTD problem. It is the reversal of that fix that I am looking for. Are we talking about the same thing?
