Southern California – Catalina to Palmdale Plant 42

Starting from Catalina (KAVX) the route proceeds to San Pedro (VPLVT) then crossing the busy ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to a touch and go landing at Los Alamitos AAF (KSLI). From there we fly 6nm to land at Fullerton Municipal (KFUL) , then continuing 13nm to the northwest, flying through the busy Los Angeles Class B airspace where we land at El Monte (KEMT). Turning west we fly over Pasadena , the Rose Bowl (VPLRB) and Burbank (BERRI) before landing at Van Nuys (KVNY). Continuing to the west we fly over Simi Valley to Santa Paula (KSZP). Turning north we must watch for and keep clear of the endangered California Condors which nest in the Sespe Wilderness Area as we proceed 25nm to our next stop at Conover Air Lodge (02CL). Then we fly east 16nm to Quail Lake Sky Park (CL46) and then on to Augua Dulce (L70). The last stop is Palmdale (KPMD) Plant 42.
