FSX:SE Keeps reloading wrong flight plan

Featured Replies

Hi, I load my flight plan created with Simbrief in PMDG 777 and FSX.

During flight FSX changes the flight plan to a one that I used good three weeks ago.

I reaload correct one and this goes on and on every few minutes.

Anybody got similar issue and knows the problem?

I am having the same issue with a slight variation. It sounds like the same root issue though.

My PMDG 777 is configured to load the current flight plan into FSX:SE. However, a plan from several weeks ago is loaded into the sim every time.

This problem has started occurring recently and was working correctly before.

Check for WX file and delete it in your documents/fsx folder.

After trying many different things I removed it and all went back to normal.

Thank you for the suggestion. It didn't work for me. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 777 with no luck either. I did find another thread on the PMDG forum with other users reporting similar, if not the same, issue. It appears to be a problem with the most recent 777 update from PMDG, and it looks like they are aware of the problem. Just FYI in case the issue comes back for you.

Check for weather file in PMDG folder. I had one file there that matched the "autoloading" flight plan and I deleted it as well.

Thanks, but my PMDG weather folder is already empty. The weather process and datalink still works fine if I manually load the 777-generated WX file to FSX (Active Sky Next then loads a corresponding flight plan and generates the necessary data for the 777 datalink function).

The next step would be a complete FSX reinstall, but I may hold off on that given that it still can work, just not automatically.
