Upgrading MOBO, CPU, water cooler and RAM

Featured Replies

Hey folks. I am at the point where my system needs an upgrade. I long for better performance in p3d, and my current rig is feeling the age.

I am thinking about getting the i7-6700K with a z170 ASUS Ranger mobo. This is my current shopping list.

I have a NZXT big tower case, and I am wondering two things:

1. Will the mobo fit in there?

2. Will the dual fan of the corsair water cooler fit or do I have to go with a single fan cooler?

Thanks so much in advance for any help and input. I am a novice on building pc's myself.

The board will fit.

Debatable if the H110 will fit, the H100 is reported as being able to fit but the H110 requirers some case modification.

I'm surprised you're asking. It's a full tower ATX case, and an ATX motherboard, so yes, of course, the Z170 Ranger will fit.

Your cooler is a H110. Is this your case? So will this help.

Holes to be drilled to make it fit.
