September 25, 200520 yr Using S. Kahn's General Aviation file in RWY12 the Objects are placed correctly but no textures shown, just grey objects. This is only happening with the "GENERAL AVIATION" file. Everything is correctly entered into the correct folders. Has anyone experienced this.I have reloaded the file a few times, downloaded it a few times but always the same, objects, in their correct position, but no color or detail, just grey shapes.Any help will be much appreciated.Gerrie C.
September 26, 200520 yr Hi,I haven't used those, but make sure that the plane's textures are in the Static Library Objects/texture folder.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
September 26, 200520 yr Thanks Tom --------- Yes the textures are in the Static Library Objects/ textur folder. In actual fact I have tried them in all the Add-On scenery texture folders, and all at the same time.I use RWY Object Placer quite extensively, and all the other Objects work OK. Many thanks for your assistanceGerrie C.
September 26, 200520 yr I remember having this problem when I first used Rwy 12 Object Placer. If I remember correctly, I had the textures for the planes in the Static Library Objects/Texture folder but it didn't work. I moved (copied) all the textures to the Addon Scenery/Texture folder and they worked. Sounds like you've already tried that, though.Jim
September 27, 200520 yr Thanks Jim -------- Yes I have tried them ALL. I have Re-entered the objects thru RWY12 repeatedly, checked out the textures with Image Tool and DXTBMP and they are OK. But no textures showing on the airfield. Thanks for your AssistanceGerrie C.
September 27, 200520 yr Gerrie C.Check (with search function) for multi BGL files of the ga. Having more than one copy of a certain library BGL on your FS9 can cause texture trouble. This can happen when you install Rwy12 and also download an add-on scenery that included the same libraries.Seev KRwy12 teamhttp://www.rwy12.com/http://www.sk-flightsim.com/
September 27, 200520 yr SEEVK --------- Will check this out to-morrow. Never considered this, but I do not think that I have multiple copies, yet one never knows. I have re-installed everything so many times, maybe there is one lurking somewhere. Many thanks for your response, and many thanks for Rwy12. It is great. Will be in touch to-morrow. Gerrie C.
September 28, 200520 yr Hi Seev,I have just completed a new GA airport scenery as an aside from the bigger airport sceneries basically to check out some new tools and techniques. I actually ended up making a whole set of BizJets/GA aircraft, and GA hangars and airport buildings. They are all in library form and might be very valuable to designers together with Rwy12. September 28, 200520 yr Hi ZhezJudging by your previous contributions I am sure the objects could be well used as a new Rwy12 library. If I remember well, last time Bill Sieffert assisted you in packing the objects into a Rwy12 library. I will also be pleased to do that. Please send me a private message and lets see how we do this.
September 28, 200520 yr SEEVK ------ A very big THANK YOU ------ You were right, three duplicate .bgl files hidden away in another airfield folder, one for each of the General Aircraft, Humans and Refuellers. How they had got there is just guesswork, but I admit that I never considered duplicate bgl files. Lesson learnt.Thank You Once more, I very much appreciate your assistance. Once more I congratulate you for the RWY12 program, it is so easy to use, only dummies like me can foul up on it. Thank You.RegardsGerrie C.
