Problems with ground textures

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I am not sure if this is a DirectX issue or not.

For some reason, at night the ground textures over the standard fsx terrain appear distorted.

Check the attached picture.

What could be happening?
Is it DirectX 10 related?

Thanks much in advance.

Does this only occur at night, but not in daylight flight? Are you by any chance using ORBX scenery files. If so are they properly layered. We will need more info to come to a suggestion or two about this.

In re Direct X, are you using Steve's Fixer?

Hi I am using FTX vector.

Could that be the case?

How can I verify they are properly layered?

Teo

I suggest you take this problem to the ORBX forums at www.fullterrain.com. If you are not a forum member, it is an easy sign in process. You will find a very helpful community with a wealth of information.

You use Vector. Do you also have FTX Global. Vector does nothing without Global. Global has a layering tool that can help, and again, the forum will provide specific answers to your problem. By the way, how about posting a daytime shot which  makes it easier to see any flaws.
