2.0.0.10 Airport InfoScreen active RWY doesn't match Metar/ATIS and instructed RWY

Featured Replies

Hello Dave,

the active RWY on Airport infos doesn't match the real active RWY in P2A shown Metar. The P3D32 ATIS is in accordance with current Metar and also the P2A instructed RWY.

For example LOWW (attached picture):

P2A current Metar on Airport info: wind 340/12

P3D32 ATIS: active RWY34

P2A short info over the Mapscreen: active RWY29 (incorrect)

P2A Airport [iNFO]: active RWY29 (incorrect)

P2A ATC instructed RWY: RWY34 (correct and in accordance with metar/ATIS)

Tested also in LSZH, EDDF, EDDT

Regards

Helge

Helge,

Thanks again for a very detailed report.

I found an issue with the RW selection and it will be fixed in 200.11.

There are times, however, when the selected runway will not be the one best aligned with the wind.  For example, if the winds are calm, it may select the longest runway with an ILS approach, or if the winds are not too strong, it may favor the runway with an ILS over another that is better aligned with the wind but has no ILS.

In the case of LOWW, it was an error in the program causing RW29 to be selected.  That error is now fixed.

Thanks,

Dave
