March 29, 201610 yr Author I literally changed the location of that entire folder... do a web search on how to move Package Cache. Yeah, I saw that too and maybe I'll do that. I still have lots of free space available but at the same time I don't like having 20 GB of data just laying around for no good reason on my system partition.
November 12, 20169 yr These files are completely safe to delete. I delete them, and have never had any issues reinstalling P3Dv3. People forget that P3D is a professional application it is not a game. The package files are needed for that reason. This application is used by defense agencies domestic and foreign, aerospace companies, and colleges and universities, and in a crunch to meet an appointment or deadline on a simulation these package files are very important to repair an installation quickly. For the average joe at home flying his cessna in the breakfast nook on sunday mornings they have no benefit as most of us do full clean installs after any issues or updates. :smile:
