Thanks for the reply. Thought I should let you know I tried again this evening three times to get a screenshot. Each time I took off from Dulles in Washington D.C. went out about 15 miles circled and landed again. It did not happen this time? I'm thinking maybe something had crashed in P3D the day that it was happening. I will check after every landing if it happens again I'll take a screenshot and post it. Over all I like the aircraft very much.

I've been using the 35A to practice landings at a number of different airports in P3Dv3 and when I switch to an exterior view my landing gear is always embedded in the runway?

I wish people would stop playing P3D. P3D is a tool for aviators or students it's not a game it's a professional simulation. Please, you should not be playing this software it's not a game. LM should require proof for students like a current non expired student ID and for aviators it should require proof of a pilot's license. It should also be priced much higher.

This game is da bomb Yo!!!! DT is already releasing exclusive Steam Edition content. There's also rumors of a completely revamped Air Tower, ATC, and Commercial flight scheduling system with flight plans. This ain't your grandpa's flight sim anymore Yo!!!!!

FSX SE does run much more stable and faster than the old FSX boxed version. I have both and can also confirm that. The nice thing about Steam's digital distribution platform as well is that you can install FSX SE or completely reinstall it in literally 20 minutes or less with a fast internet connection. I have Comcast Blast. No more loading FSX disks and waiting forever for the install to complete.

Try the spot view again, lens flare does show outside of the aircraft in spot view. You will never see lens flare from the virtual cockpit.

I know exactly what you're talking about this is an issue with FSX on large montors and it's still there in FSX Steam Edition. The PAPI lights and landing lights on aircraft are ridiculously bright, lol. I'm certain that Nick Needham had a fix for this. If you search on AVSIM for the Nick Needham light fix or google it I'm sure it's stil out there somewhere.
