April 5, 201610 yr Author Export it as a FSX .pln file and load in to ASN Using p3d, I have exported it to pmdg 777 flight plans folder But once in ASN flight plan I click load to navigate pmdg 777 flight plan folder. Its empty. Cheers Mike
April 5, 201610 yr ASN cannot read the PMDG file type. You need to export it as the .pln type which can be read by FSX for example.
April 5, 201610 yr In PFPX, click export and tick the box for P3D. Click on save and it should send the file as a .pln to your documents folder/P3D files. In ASN, tick the box in (I think) general settings which tells ASN to load the active plan automatically. Once you are in P3D, open the flight planner and select the plan. This should then open up in ASN automatically. I think this will work but I have another step in my setup whereby it all gets exported to Pro ATC first but it should be fairly similar I think. Thanks for your reply Stuart I click p3d thou it gives me an caution sign not exported Not exporting to p3d documents folder Cheers Mike
April 5, 201610 yr That's odd. Silly question but have you set the path to your P3D documents folder? For example, if you have PFPX on a networked PC or something, you may need to set up the path. You can set the path by clicking on the browse button at the top of the export dialogue box. Stuart Furley

Hmm not quite sure, if I remember correctly I think it's just set to A/p3d sim folder not documents folder Going to have to check when I get home Cheers
April 5, 201610 yr OK that might be the problem then - if it is set to the sim folder it probably needs to be changed to Documents/Prepar3d Files (or something similar to that. Not near my sim PC at the moment so can't verify). Once all the paths are properly set then you should be able to follow your flight on the moving weather map just fine. I have mine on a laptop networked to it so I can check the weather ahead at any time - it's very nice to do that. Stuart Furley

Tried setting to p3d documents folder still get error The also need to be set to p3d folde to read pmdg folder and set it
April 7, 201610 yr I'll take a look at the weekend when I'm back home and see if I can get it to work. As I mentioned I always export it to Pro ATC first and it works fine so maybe there is something I have missed when not using that programme. I'm sure it must be possible to do this without using Pro ATC though. Stuart Furley

April 11, 201610 yr Ok, Thanks mate Mike Hi Mike, sorry for the delay. I've checked it out now and I'm getting a problem with it too! When I select P3D v3 it just gives me an error every time. However, if you use P3D v2 it will work properly. Just set the path for P3D v2 to your v3 files folder in My Documents and it will work as normal. Hope that helps. Cheers Stu. Stuart Furley
