April 7, 201610 yr The title says it all really. I hardly ever fly FSX, as unlike in FS9 I have to choose between having my 2nd. monitor black as soon as I go to full screen (in what way was that an advance over FS9, I can't help wonder), or use FS-SIMtimizer, which, not being true full screen of course, makes the already slightly noticeable scenery drawing lag as you pan in spot view much, much worse, with clouds in particularly breaking up as they are redrawn. It's only milliseconds probably, but the general effect is not good, to say the least. Do I have any other choices? I won't fly in windowed mode, I get very poor results on my machine (much longer delay in scenery drawing, as I say, and poor antialiasing). My machine, with an i7-4790K @ 4GHz, GTX970 4GB and 16GB RAM should be able to create smooth panning in FSX, I would have thought... FS9, though using less resources of course, is as smooth as silk.
