No light texture conversion for airport towers TAG-Myrtle Beach

Recommended Posts

The Airport Guys-Myrtle Beach, or TAG-Myrtle Beach

Steve, this is the only 3rdP airport property where I have red squares around the beacon lights, etc.  I have all lights and effects converted in this shot.  Any suggestions?  Latest SFDX10

Yup turn on missing texture alert and find the missing texture

So you think it is a missing texture?  It installed into P3D, with no problems. I'll do that...but will also now check it out in DX9, and see if they work as they do in P3D.

Thanks,

Mitch

Square means missing texture..

In dx9 and probably p3d as well missing textures are ignored, except for legacy scenery where they are drawn.

In dx10 they get replaced with bkg.bmp in both cases.

The key point is that the author coded the scenery to draw something and gave a texture name for it to do so but then didn't provide the texture... It's missing in dx10, dx9 and p3d it's just the error is hidden in the last 2. No one is seeing what the author intended you to see.

When you know the name you can take a copy of another light texture and rename it eg fx_2.bmp and it will appear in dx9 and dx10 or you can hassle the author.
