I have a 2014 5k iMac, and have been considering upgrading to El Capitan (runs on Yosemite now). I see reference to performance increases with the later OS, but how does that work with XP?

It works exactly the same for me without any issues, it isn't any faster as far as I can tell.

 

I put off upgrading for some time (I only upgraded last month) for fear of breaking some of my apps (Like vmware)
