Captain Sim C-130 in beta...

Recommended Posts

Well, yippee! That is only the 3rd time we've heard it! Ive lost all faith in Captain Sim. Certainly, they werent the friendliest company to begin with, but since about December '04 when they shut down their support forum, their customer relations have gone downhill. The fact they would even consider charging full price for what they know is an unfinished release alone is disgusting. Their customer support has been going downhill since the 727 was released.Sorry for the rant, but seeing the article on the Avsim main page just irked me!

maybe the next contest will be "guess how many times we will announce progress in a hopelessly bug filled add-on?"

Hello All, Well, how about that. the 130 is in beta . . . I thought that was what I had been doing a month ago, with no 2nd beta or response from the Capt. I don't mean to cast stones, but I've been on too many beta teams, (some I really worked my butt off and some I didn't do much because of other comitments) and have seen how a great beta process works. The main deal is communication and fixing the problems. No communication, and nothing seems to get fixed. It's been over two months since I sent my last report into CS and they said the beta period was over . . .hmmm, oh well.Best to allClayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Hi Clay,I'm with you on this one and that's why I threw in the towel as far as testing for CS is concerned. When I look at the hours spent on the 707 and the detailed reports that fell on deaf ears, it makes me wonder how the other testers can keep it up. The way they don't communicate with the beta testers and the fact it's been 2 months from the first beta without as much as a word makes it look like they're repeating the 707 process.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanic

It was supposed to have been demonstrated at the RC Simulation Flight Sim Show in Bristol, UK today (15th). Unfortunately I could not go. I know this may be wishful thinking, but did anyone see it?Jonl

Greetings all!As Allcott and I would say if we were childish enough (grin!) to say it: "Told you so!"We've been warning you time upon time against "Alex Baba and his Forty Thieves" (my description) and "ex-Soviet military who know how to deal with betrayers" (Captain Sims own self-description). With mild interest I will watch events unfold. Jennifer, your turn (wide and wicked grin)!Be well!Jaap Verduijn.

Maybe the release is just around the corner and they'll surprise us with a virtually bug free product that rocks along with a simultaneous release of a patch for the 707 and the opening of their new improved forums, followed quickly by a patch for the minor glitches that were able to squeeze through their extensive beta process. billg
