May 14, 201610 yr Hi, I am still trying to find the best setting for my new sim platform Xplane 10^^ I was trying to fight what I thought was shimmering due to lack of anti aliasing at far distance. I didn't get any good results with enhancing AA through Nvidia Inspector. However, I used zoom in function trying to see what and where was the shimmering exactly, and I found out that it was not shimmering but rather some flikering of autogen objects behind the airport and sometimes some airports objects or texture. It is not really beautiful to see from the cockpit but it seems to disappear when flying. I wonder if someone has experienced this phenomenon or could help me to find out what is the problem. I am running fairly conservative settings (4x SSAA + FXAA for AA) on i5 6600K and GTX970. Maybe it is due to video driver? What is the best known current driver I could try to see if it may solve the problem? Pierre
May 14, 201610 yr Pierre I think this is an issue with XP autogen art work, Im almost certain I had read something about it somewhere in Ben's blog. I've also tried everything and every suggestion with no luck, hopefully this will be addressed in the next autogen update. May 15, 201610 yr Author Thank you for the help! I did find a forum topic and a video of what I am seeing : Video : Topic http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/63534-artifacts-flickering-in-x-plane-10/ No answer yet about how to solve that problem. The last post says it is due to 2 sceneries fighting each other, but I am sure it is not that. Pierre
