June 6, 20169 yr hello, How do we use the Take-off performance graph page 288 of POH ? a- For example, if the altitude is 1000ft, the gross weight is 80000 and head wind is 10kts, what is the needed runway length ? (3200 ft ?) b- how to get the maximum take-off weight for a given runway ? Thanks Guillaume CHARRIER ------------------ Guillaume CHARRIER
June 6, 20169 yr a: Yes in your calculation it's about 3200-3300ft. b: Cross the length of the runway with the wind component, then go to the right until you reach the pressure alt for the airport. That would be the max takeoff gross weight. Your question was pretty good... From now on I'll calc and decide to take off wet or dry. Haven't even looked into the chart. Was pretty lucky to understand cruise power needs and settings charts. Kind regards, Stefan Sondermann
June 7, 20169 yr Author thanks for your answer. I haven't looked into the other power and setting charts.... lot of reading..... the documentation is very good. ------------------ Guillaume CHARRIER
