June 13, 20169 yr I have purchased the new DC-6 yesterday and installed it correctly. However. there are two strange things i observed: 1) I never was asked for my registration key (but the plane seems to work ok) 2) there is an extra layer in the cockpit view after the aircraft shows up. In form of the regular cockpit there appears another structure, very similar to the cockpit view, but less sharp and it looks simply ugly. If I were able to upload a screenshot here, I can show what I see. I am a newbie in this forum and would appreciate some help. Thank you for your ideas and suggestions Juergen Edited: I have now deinstalled and reinstalled the plane again and this time I was asked for my serial... and the cockpit looks normal. Joystick seems deactivated though... Juergen Vollmer Flight sim enthusiast and real life pilot

June 13, 20169 yr Author Hello Kyle: you nailed it! I had an error in the log.txt as to the plugin activation and therefore I decided to deinstall the plane and re-install from scratch. This time it worked as advertized, I was prompted for the registration key and asked to restart the simulator. After that all llok normal.... However, I cannot use my joystick for now. the front wheel moves, but the ailerons, rudder and elevator stay blocked. Did I miss something? I hae calibrated the joystick but that did not help. Thank you for your quick help and have a great day. Regards Juergen Vollmer Juergen Vollmer Flight sim enthusiast and real life pilot
June 13, 20169 yr Commercial Member Did I miss something? Yep - make sure to read the Intro Manual and Tutorial. I'm willing to bet you forgot to disable your gust lock (big red device right next to your seat, in between you and the throttles - you'll note that it'll also block two of your throttles from going to takeoff power). Thank you for your quick help and have a great day. You're welcome - you too! Kyle Rodgers
June 13, 20169 yr Author Hello Kyle... and again, you were very helpful. I have only done some cursory reading so far, and of course I missed the gust lock bit  Found it now and all seems fine. Thanks again and always three green... Juergen Vollmer Juergen Vollmer Flight sim enthusiast and real life pilot
June 13, 20169 yr Commercial Member Found it now and all seems fine. Thanks again and always three green... Glad to hear it. Make sure to keep those engines green on the Maintenance Panel, too! Kyle Rodgers
June 13, 20169 yr Author Glad to hear it. Make sure to keep those engines green on the Maintenance Panel, too! Yep, that is important in those big planes, they tend to get overheated quickly and collect some damage.... I´ll most certainly keep a watchful eye on those radials and keep them in good condition.... Best wishes, Juergen Vollmer Juergen Vollmer Flight sim enthusiast and real life pilot
