Question on Overclocking

Featured Replies

I have a EVGA 970GTX GPU.

I downloaded the EVGA overclock tool and played with it but am unhappy with the results I am getting. I am trying to reset the settings back to the way the GPU came out of the box and it is not working using the overclock tool.

Which would work better to restore the original card settings?

1. Uninstall the Overclock Tool

2. Uninstall the drivers and install new ones?

Thanks

Just uninstall the tool if you want to return to stock.  Why are you unhappy with the results?

It did not produce more FPS nor more smoothness. Also I could not move my sliders to the right for better performance.

Then,

1) either you haven't tested enough to see the difference or

2) your graphics settings aren't high enough that you need more GPU performance

Also, moving your sliders to the right produces better graphics, not more performance.  You could go the opposite direction if more performance is your desire.
