hello, i was doing VFR in the Diamond Twinstar 42 with another person but he was coming up as a DA40 and he said i was also a DA40 is there a way in that we both can see the same model as the one im flying 

If you are using Vpilot you need to create your own model matching rules set.

You and your friend have to have same aircraft installed and activate custom model matching rule set.
